i just read a sentence about a tv that said: the 41-3/5-inch screen measured diagonally, from corner to corner.
here's what's wrong with that: everything.
1) who the fuck says the 41-3/5-inch screen when talking about televisions? it's 41-inch screen.
2) it's kind of common knowledge that tv screens (and monitors) are measured diagonally.
3) measured diagonally from corner to corner is straight out of the department of redundancy department. how else do you measure diagonally??
i read that sentence 20 minutes ago and it still makes me laugh.
