I went to imdb.com to piss around for a while. I came across Batman Begins trivia. I cannot vouch for how much of it is valid. However, if you're bored enough you should check it out too. I'm talking true geekdom here. It's a pretty long list of tidbits and some of them are useless. What's worse is that some of them are repeated for no reason. All in all though, I found it pretty interesting. Of course now I imagine all of you thinking "Yeah, you would". Here are some examples.
-Katie Holmes barely beat Natalie Portman and Sarah Michelle Gellar for the role of Rachel Dawes.
-Christian Bale's trailer didn't have his name on the door but said "Bruce Wayne" instead.
-Ra's Al Ghul is Arabic for "The Demon's Head". This refers to his position at the height of the Brotherhood of the Demon, also called the League of Assassins.
-Christian Bale had previously screen tested and was considered for the role of Robin in Batman Forever (1995).
-This movie has no fewer than nine actors from the UK and Ireland playing Americans including, Christian Bale (Wales), Michael Caine (England), Liam Neesom (Ireland), Gary Oldman (England), Cillian Murphy (Ireland), Tom Wilkinson (England), Linus Roache (England), Gerard Murphy (II) (Ireland), Sara Stewart (Scotland).
-Wanting to use as many practical effects as possible, Christopher Nolan told the production crew that he wanted the Batmobile to actually do its own stunts without camera trickery, CGI or models, and as a result, the Batmobile built for the movie could take sharp turns at 60 miles per hour, brake to a complete stop on a moment's notice, and could even go into a rampless jump, clearing up to 40 feet in the air.
And this last one's for you Kris,
-Ken Watanabe never blinks.
Thank you and goodnight.
