[Here is Manjoume, walking down the path to the room where the gate is. As evidenced by the tone in which he mutters the following to himself, he's not in the greatest of moods, but then, he rarely is.]
'Walk in the light', he says. 'Traditional parting words' or not...
[(Yes, he was indeed attempting to socialize with the original resident of his room before word came out that the gate was open. For reference, incidentally, it's the same blue-skinned tailed guy whose ghost he had lunch with that one time.) As he walks, his attention is mostly focused on his deck of Duel Monsters cards as he sifts through them to make triply certain that he hasn't forgotten even one.
Finally satisfied that he hasn't left even one behind, and finding himself at the entrance to the room, he tucks his deck into its holder on his belt and enters the room, though he doesn't go through the gate right away.]
It's not really all that hard to understand, I don't think - you summon monsters and activate spells and traps, the monsters fight, damage is dealt, the game ends usually when one player's life points reach zero - there are other ways, but that's most common.
[he's a little startled by that. he certainly didn't expect it. but after a moment, he salutes him] I'm grateful I was able to do what I could for all of you. I only regret that I couldn't do more, and sooner.
It was enough that all of this was possible, right? Call everyone heroes all you want, but personally, I doubt this would have been possible if you hadn't helped as much as you did.
[Well, he can't say he was completely expecting that. But he accepts it nonetheless.]
Thanks, Sakuraba. I'll take care of it.
[He then reaches for his deck, searches through it for a moment, and pulls out a single card, which he holds out toward her - its title clearly identifies itself as "A Feather of the Phoenix".]

he coughs a little to get his attention]
Um...I wanted to apologize for all those times I bothered you about your cards.

It's fine. After all, Duel Monsters doesn't exist where you come from, right?

But then, I've grown up with it, so.

[He starts to walk toward the gate, but pauses again as he passes by where Orion is standing.] ...Thanks, for everything.

[And look, here's a Neko who just ran into the room. She wasn't going to leave just yet, but she wanted to give him something first.
She just needs to catch her breath.]
I wanted to give you this.
[She holds out a pin.]
It reminded me of you. It's called Thunder Rook.
