Riku's given him his bed, though the good commander looks very uncomfortable there, as though he's expecting enemies to come jumping out at him from the shadows

By audio command? No, not necessarily. There are only a few emergency command codes I can use from anywhere.

But you have access codes to everything else, do you not?

Almost everything. But most of them require me to be at a command terminal.

Unfortunately, I don't know where they are.

How can you not know where the command terminals are?

Because a civilian ship shouldn't have them in the first place. With all the unnecessary additions to the ship's design I don't doubt that they're there, I just don't know where.

Can you tell me why you abandoned the ship in the first place?

[his lips press into a thin line] In addition to the dangerous anomalies that kept appearing, the captain's actions lead to the deaths of many of the civilians. When the casualties started to escalate I made the decision to abandon ship before more lives were lost.

No, I don't. I was trying to find that out for myself right before all the anomalies began.

If you discover where the control panel is, tell me. Otherwise I will be searching on my own. Level Three cannot be so hard to enter.

You'll have to excuse me, but those panels are DNA and voice code locked. Without a member of the command crew the panels won't perform all the necessary functions.
