Roxas (Anomaly) 4/this app is like the energizer bunny, it just keeps goingaishiteruSeptember 30 2008, 07:42:06 UTC
Years passed this way. Roxas became something of an expert fugitive. He developed ridiculously honed reflexes from constantly evading the surprise attacks and ambushes meant to capture him. None of the Organization's lackeys ever laid a hand on him. There was one time where he came so close to being captured - because a man with bright red hair and green green eyes shouted his name and begged him to come back, and Roxas almost broke right then and there. But his legs carried him away before he could stop or give in. Roxas ran so far and so fast after that he never saw his friend again. Not after that day.
The dreams grew more vivid as time passed. Roxas learned the boy in his dreams had a name - Sora. It felt familiar, somehow. Really, it wasn't long before Roxas put the pieces together. At some point, he simply knew that the kid in his dreams was his Other, the one he'd been searching for all along. But while Sora was there in his head - somehow - Roxas could not seem to track him down physically, no matter how many worlds he travelled.
But he never gave up. With lack of any other motivation, a deep obsession had grown in Roxas, a burning drive to find this Other. He didn't know what would happen when he met Sora - he only knew that somehow it would bring an end to his years of hardship and maybe, finally, show him a way out of the darkness.
Didn't quite work out that way, though. Because one day, Roxas woke up in a place that was not his latest hide out. Instead, Roxas woke up someplace else entirely.
Strengths: Roxas is an absolutely incredible fighter. His own natural instincts plus years on the run have made him very quick, with almost inhuman reflexes. It's nearly impossible to break Roxas's guard in a fight, and if he gets in a close-range fight with an opponent, they're as good as finished. His Keyblades - Oathkeeper and Oblivion - are powerful weapons. Very useful for unlocking things, too.
Mentally and emotionally, Roxas is a fortress. This is definitely a double-edged sword, but it gives him a few advantages. He can never be tricked or deceived by pretty much anyone or anything. He also can't be hurt much, emotionally. Not having a heart to be hurt with. He is stoic and very stubborn, which means he can carry through with things other people might consider, ah, unpleasant.
Weaknesses: Roxas is pretty useless in a ranged fight. An opponent that can get him from far away is an opponent that can likely beat him. But really, Roxas's greatest weakness is his sheer lack of humanity. While he's not easily manipulated, his lack of faith in other people means he's constantly at a disadvantage with them - with no friends, he has no support, no back up, and most of all, no help, ever. Sora is, in a way, a huge weakness for him as well. Mention his Other and you might actually unleash that obsessive, passionate part of Roxas that is a crazy mix of all the emotions he used to feel. While Roxas is not easily provoked, once you've got under his skin, he'll be too unstable to do much to help himself. Plus, it's just not generally good to be as numbed as he is.
First Person Sample: [Have a Roxas looking very alarmed, practically leaping out of bed and quickly assessing his surroundings, idly picking at the foreign jumpsuit on his body]
.. they can't have caught me. They'd be gloating over it if they had. And they wouldn't have dressed me like this.
But this isn't where I was hiding. I know that place was secure... not to mention that place and this look nothing alike.
Could .. could he be--
No. I have to look around. I need to find out what's going on and get out of here before they catch up with me again.
