∞ 03 01 ∞
[it's late in the evening when the ship hovering above the Crucible finally moves. the fateful night has come. the weather apparently understands the gravity of what's going on; the fitful rains have solidified into a driving storm, wind whipping violently through the trees, churning the dark, opaque sea into a mess of froth and waves, and the deluge pounds down onto every surface unfortunate enough to be exposed to the drops, which one could swear are as big as a fist at times.
the small craft appears completely unaffected by the furious weather, drifting steadily over to the designated pick-up area. there are people there waiting for it despite how horrid the evening is. the craft pauses, as if thinking...or scanning.
after a moment, the Sphere of one individual glows brighter; steadily at first, then all at once, a blue-white flare engulfing the chosen person.
it's Sora. a second later, he's gone. the ship then resumes it's previous position above the crash; a somewhat anticlimactic outcome.
of course no one is watching the forest, or the birds in the forest. it starts with one among an unremarkable mass that twitches, then lists to the side. it looks ill and then, angry. its head snaps around, its whole body shaking and launches itself at one of its branchmates.
a few hours from now, there won't be any of them left alive]

- So! On Friday the AIM dice revealed the lucky volunteer to be AUSora! Anyone else standing and waiting in the...lovely weather would have witnessed the event described above. Sora has been transported onto the small craft, but what's happened to him and when he'll be returned won't be known right away. ;D Stay tuned for any posts! Who knows what they might reveal?
But there does seem to be something else going on, doesn't there? The animals have begun to act a little odd. The formerly docile frog creatures that were easy to hunt down and roast into delicious frog bits might not be so easy to catch anymore. In fact, they might just go out of their way to attack the stranded passengers. Better watch yourself if you're out alone in the woods.
Though I'm sure what we ALL want to know is what does this mean for the passengers? One word: paranoia. As if this plot post, all passengers are going to be experiencing various degrees of severe anxiety and paranoia. How this happens depends on you, the player, but all characters will be affected. The extent and nature of the effects might include but aren't limited to:
- • Irrational fears
• Suspicion towards the planet, the ship and crew, their fellow passengers, or themselves
• An increased fight or flight reaction
• Obsessive-compulsive behavior
• Uncontrollable or attacks of intense emotions
• Delusional behavior
• Hallucinations
Not a good state to be in, no? Unfortunately for the passengers, during this trying time for them they might just see unexplained images or hear strange noises without explanation. It's classic slow-horror material: shadows, flickers of reflections, things moving in the corner of your eye, a twig snapping in the forest when you're all alone. What a character sees depends on their pyschology and you, the player, but whatever it is, when a character goes to look for what it was, of course nothing will be there. Characters won't be harmed by these, naturally, but they will continually be present, especially after dark, until further notice.
