This is Captain Ganymede. All passengers and crew members, I have an important announcement. The Crucible's communication network has been struck by a very small, as yet unidentified malfunction. It's nothing our girls in engineering can't handle and they'll get it corrected in no time, no time at all!
Until then there might be just a few isolated instances of image replacement on the Sphere Network, but just a few! It'll be taken care of in no time and we'll be right back on track with your luxury vacation experience. Sorry for the inconvenience, everyone! I, Captain Ganymede, will make personally sure that this is taken care of as quickly as possible.

- Just so you know, the captain's lying. The "small malfunction" isn't limited to just a few passenger; it's affecting the whole ship. Just like the captain's, passengers' will look like someone or something else while using the Sphere Network. In person nothing's changed, and they will still sound the same, but the appearance on the network won't be theirs. How inconvenient, no? Good thing everyone knows each other very well, right?
In game terms this means all first-person journal interaction will experience this "image replacement." Was this inspired by LJ's infamous icon replacement? ...perhaps it was. Players may use alternate icons or link to a picture when they post to show us what characters are seeing. This affects all passengers as of this announcement and the image that replaces their can be any animal, plant, or inanimate object. A puppy, a broom, the Mona Lisa, a taco, or a black 1967 Chevrolet Impala. This does mean no people of any type (no cartoon characters, either), but who wants to look like Britney Spears, anyway? Otherwise, anything else is fair game!
This plot will last until Saturday night at midnight. In addition, there's a little official business to take care of.
It's ACTIVITY CHECK time again.
This time the full activity requirements are in affect, as stated in the community rules: either three journal entries or two journal entries and a log. Not too bad, right?
