[after a moment or two of tinkering with his Sphere, he's accessed Ganymede's favourite intercom system, and looking pretty damn pleased with himself too. not that it was anything incredibly hard for him to do, no of course not. mere child's play.]

Ah, there we go, much better. Hello! [waves] I hope I have your attention this time, Ganymede. ( Read more... )

[he waves at the security bots at the end of the hall before he climbs over the sofa back into his room. then he gives the Sphere a look.]

What do you think I'd do?

You just want to get close to Ganymede, right?

Ultimately, yes.

[makes his way into the kitchen now and turns his Sphere off, his voice softer this time.] I'll ask again, "What do you think I'd do?"

[turns his sphere off as well] You wouldn't build him a weapon, I know that.

So what would you do when you're with him and he's demanding one?

[smiles a bit] Well, I wouldn't let him near any hidden panels, that's for sure.

Doctor, I'm not kidding. We know how much power the captain has here! You can't just set up a confrontation alone.

Not on a ship like this!

Doctor, Orion could help. Why not focus on meeting up with him?

Because if I can get to the bridge, I can take control of the ship, lower the shields and let Orion in to get everyone off the Crucible.

It'd be safer if I did. That way, he only punishes one person in case I fail.

Doctor, what've you got me for if not for situations like this? I'm going with you.

And make you a target as well? I was glad to hear Ganymede hadn't remembered you. You're able to get away with currying his favour like you did with your own message to the man this way.
