Well well well! Let it be said that sheer determination and a lot of time on your hands can often lead to results. In the TARDIS' defense (since she's feeling all petty and mean that she didn't get it and someone else did), she did suggest the stars of Cygnus. Just, you know ... not specifically Deneb.

...she's gonna go sulk in a corner now.
