If there was one thing the last couple of days had taught Sora, it was that the ship was nothing if not completely freaking unpredictable. He didn't know what to expect, so he had to prepare---and, really, how different was that from life back home?
Well, at home there was only one set of core Organization Nobodies to worry about---here, there seemed to be an endless parade of them. He'd steered clear of most of them---only one Axel was from his world, and that one he at least could hold a conversation with---but there was the very distinct possibility that he'd have to worry about some or all of them at any given time.
Scuffing the toe of his boot in a pile of debris, he sighed. Axel had called these alternate Org members "toddlers with superpowers", but...there were a lot more of them, currently, than there were resistance members. New faces in black coats showed up almost daily, and he had---he had family to protect. Kairi. Roxas. Riku. Maybe even Axel, if these new Nobodies decided they didn't like him.
So, Sora did what he could. And he could train. He could prepare for a conflict on the ship, if it ended up happening. He could make as many allies as he could and organize people. He could fight.
Rolling his shoulders, he stretched, summoning his Keyblades into both hands. The heft and weight of them were old friends by now, familiar and perfectly balanced against his various pads of calluses. Moving with them came without any thought at all; it was smooth and natural, the weapons that had started as an extension of his heart finally having become real extensions of his body.
Funny how a clumsy kid with too big of a heart could age.
Sora bowed his head, cleared his thoughts, and took a running start---throwing himself into the complicated kata of blocks and strikes, the dance that was training with two Keyblades at once.
