The Revision3 DOS attack is just pathetic,
'He wondered aloud over what tragedy may have happened had Revision3 "been an airport using BitTorrent to distribute approaches to the runaway?"'
Any decent setup can survive 8000 syn a second, it is a mere 4 Mbit/sec, syncookies were invented in 1996. It seems like an airport would have some decent production.
Finally, they also knew the source, so they could have nul rotued and got their ISP to this.
How did this keep them down for that long and cause countless of hours of work?
As a note, i just had a web server deliver 65k http requests a second.
