Unfortunately, he hadn't got as far as there! His only areas of interest around the others apartment as of yet were the kitchen (Where a half-hearted search for something to eat had turned fruitless.) and the living room for the sake of the TV. As of yet, anyway.

"Non-moral pushing folklore, though the concept is the same. " Yoshiya responded, moving himself into a seated position and placing the book on the table. "Growing up is simply your body changing. We possess the same thoughts as we do as children; but the experience involved with growing up flaws us. "

Want seemed to make sense to him, as well. He couldn't say it was something absolutely stupid like love or need, but want? Probably. That night was marginally worse than the first encounter he'd had with Sanae -- not because of anything he didn't want at the time, but not much talking had been done. The barista was probably the only person whos views weren't inferior. And that was the reason he was here, other than toying with the idea of telling the other something which should really remain in confidence. He moved a hand through his hair and suppressed a yawn. " Tired?"

Sanae moved towards the couch, eyeing the television and looking with disinterest at the story of double Siamese twins before switching it off. "Don't know why I have that thing, there's a television at the cafe already." He muttered under his breath, sitting on the couch and looking towards the bound book with a certain degree of affection.

"At least you think that way. People tend to think that they 'grow up' too fast in my opinion. Just makes them seem more childish when you put that with their flaws. Live how you feel, for the moment. That's my take on it all." He said, reclining back into the cushions of the couch. "And you could say that I am, I guess. The coffee keeps me goin'. And if you're hungry, I could order something for us. Still need t' go shopping, unfortunately."

Living for the moment didn't seem to cover things like food shopping, it seemed. However, it wasn't as if his lifestyle was any different, he'd find himself most likely in a far worse position if it weren't for his hired domestic help -- namely a little old woman that was practically deaf, practically blind and very, very dumb. That was what he paid for, after all -- she kept the house clean and cooked well. The fact she didn't say a word was part of the bargain.

Catching the others look towards the book, he laughed softly at the others words. " Doesn't that sound like regret, though? 'Oh, I should have done this...' 'and that, but I got too old too fast..' Its placing the blame elsewhere. Something people are good at. And I'll have something if you are. If you'd just like to go to sleep though, thats fine also. "

"Perhaps it does... but, well, that's their decision to make. How people live is none of my concern." Sanae said with a shrug, getting up quickly and finding a bag of apples in the fridge. The man grabbed two, going back over to the couch and tossing one to his guest. "It'll have to do for now," he said, taking a bite. Still juicy, unbruised. That was a good sign.

"But yeah, people are quick to either run to people for help, or just put everything that's wrong on others. It's human nature. Own up to the bad deeds, and where does that put you? Not in a good spot. So people make themselves look better..." Another bite. "I mean, just look at what's happening. The Government isn't exactly ready to say anything on this whole outsider thing. And the outsiders, they're placing the blame on something within this world. It's an endless cycle of 'who-did-it,' and it won't be solved anytime soon.

Fruitless effort, that's what it all was. Sanae took another bite of the fruit, mulling over his thoughts before turning his eyes on Joshua once again. "And I'd like to get back to a good sleep schedule. At least for the time being. So, Boss, anything that you want to say?"

The both of them didn't need anything, so Sanae was sure not to use the word 'need' with the other man next to him. No point in misusing words after all.

Funny, that. There was a story in that book which seemed startlingly familiar. looking up as the other stood, he started to recite from memory. 'My son, do not follow after empty knowledge which will not bring you happiness, but rather evil. Much is hidden from the eyes of men because did they know everything their hearts would no longer be at peace. Knowledge kills joy, therefore think well what you are doing, or some day you will repent. he stated silverly, thoughtfully. and upon catching the apple -- he stood and moved through the others living room and later kitchen to get himself a knife. Because really? Yes, he was a picky bastard. Always was; always would be.

"Hm, before you arrived they attempted to broadcast something. " he half-responded, half pondered as he returned; brought his legs up and crossed them-- sitting sideways on the couch with his bare feet tucked underneath him in comfort only youth would allow -- "Though the transmission was interrupted before the first word. It could have been a bad connection. Could have been deliberate. Maybe even an assassination or a bomb. And they're hardly different from us. Your double... at first I thought he was exceptionally smart; but no more or no less than you are. So you're the same, whatever powers he may have up his sleeve. " Shrugging slightly -- he cut into the apple before lifting a piece with the point of the knife to his lips.

"Perhaps. Perhaps not. "
He wanted to know if Sanae trusted him first. The problem was just how to tactfully bring up the discussion. He didn't love Sanae, or need him. But.. trust happened to slot in strangely with want.

Sanae brought the apple to his lips once again, taking another bite. Much different taste from coffee. Not bitter at all... but still refreshing. Here he was, musing over fruit. Figures.

"Heard it from the hallway... well, what little there was to hear, anyway. Either way, they dodged the broadcast, supposedly postponed it. We'll see if it happens again, I s'pose." He said, shrugging.

"My double... well, he's the interesting sort. And I have to say that I like him." Sanae said, nodding to himself as he thought of the other and their... conversation. "And I like to think that he's not the only one that I trust." He said, looking towards Joshua from behind his shades. "Josh, you have something to say, then say it. I like to think that I keep things private, no matter how much I may flaunt myself."

"Do you think they dodged it? Its a slightly loaded assumption." Yoshiya asked, deciding to slowly stab the knife into the apple -- and lean over to place it on the table. Then, he hiked the knee-length jumper he was wearing up, and fished into his pocket for a coin. Coins of course were not used in Este, Centro, Norte, Oeste or Sur -- but this little beauty was something he found himself carrying around quite a lot with him. It was from one of the other countries; namely the one of which his biological mother resided, but the important thing was that he simply liked the insignia on it.

Flipping it silently and in the manner which he decided to become part of N.O.N.E, he said nothing as he checked the result -- whether it was good or bad. And then he moved his hand underneath his jumper, pulling out a pistol of a strange design which seemed to be more barrel than anything -- and fished in his pocket to pull out an identification card, then his PORTable -- the custom job wired to the Governments own network for free untraceable calls, and of course wired to the network so nothing short of being dumped a few leagues under the sea would make it lose signal. And he placed the three objects between himself and Sanae, violet eyes remaining calm and expressionless as he surveyed the others dark lenses.

"You're more than welcome to call me whatever you wish, but for the record; my name is not Joshua like I've been claiming, and I'm certainly not a student, though the University recognise me as one. Its been a guise to protect myself from people seeking answers, and the outsiders which feel that the Government is behind all of this. Saying that though, 'Joshua' is a mask I don't particularly want to hide behind while I'm around you. If you're up on your stuff... and I'm sure you are; the name Yoshiya Kiryu might be familiar to you. "

Not too familiar, though. Keeping his eyes fixed upon the others face, he showed no fear. Well, he didn't fear.

Sanae watched in silence as he pulled out the three items, eyes lingering on the handgun moreso than the other two.

Like art, He mused mentally, running one finger over the gun, the PORTable, and the identification, in that order. "Knew you were more than a university student, Boss. Wasn't counting on this much... but hey, can't judge a book by it's cover." He said, a small smile tugging at his lips. "Head of the Science Division... think my family might've known yours, back when I was still in touch with 'em. But that's not important." He drew his hand away from the items, eyes now on the youth. "You've got influence, kid. Not going to resent you for that... just makes you that much more interesting."

Sanae finished the apple, setting the core on the coffee table, to be discarded later. "You trust me, I trust you. My lips are sealed, Mr. Science Division Head, and I hope that you won't pull rank with just a commoner of the city." He smiled gently, pushing the items back towards Joshua. "But seriously. I don't think that this changes all that much between us. I'd hope it doesn't, at any rate."

The gun was simply for protection if he got into trouble. A countermeasure for whatever could happen between the time he placed an emergency call and when the cavalry would arrive. Leaning the side of his head against the back of the sofa, Yoshiya raised his eyebrows. "That unconvincing?" he asked, genuinely shocked. Well, damn. He guessed that was why from their little encounters Lelouch was so suspicious all of the time. "It is unimportant. Though really, if yours are similar to mine.." (and he used the term 'mine' loosely.) "Then they're the kind of self-serving scum that I'd rather avoid. No offence. "

Influence was a funny thing. He simply used it to get as much time off work as possible. It wasn't as if his environment was bad; or even that he hated his job. He just liked doing as little work as humanly possible. He had the position and the brain required to be able to have leverage and choice in what hours he worked. Until of course they worked out a way to do brain transplants. Then he'd be royally screwed.

"Oh, don't. " he half groaned, starting to put the items away. " Its not like I started saying the same thing upon finding out you're a part-time stripper. And a good one, by the way. It changes nothing. I just.." awkward. "I don't know why. But I trust you."

Sanae laughed. "Now now, never said that you were unconvincing! Just, I know how to read people. Comes in the job. And someone of your intellect and rationality can't be a mere college student, no matter his vocabulary." The barista said, smiling.

"And I do love to make idealistic statements. Lightens the mood. And thanks for the compliment," He said, rubbing the back of his neck in what would be sheepish thanks, if Sanae were ever sheepish. "And I trust you, Boss. Can't help that, I suppose that we just click."

Yes indeed, they clicked.

That was a point. The corner of his mouth twitched into a definitely amused smile, his eyes darkening ever so slightly as he pondered how many people exactly Sanae knew about. Probably quite a few. People slipped everywhere -- about this and that and all the rest, and now he'd joined those perpetual ranks of stupid. Yet at least he could say that the choice to had been 50 / 50. Some other thing had decided for him.

"Yes. Originally the name and alias was decided on the spot to give a degree of trust to someone. It stuck, oddly. " Though the chances of it getting out are increasing more by the day. Minamimoto, for example. He knows my alternate as having the same true name as myself. " Not to mention some freaky things about a title of 'Composer' which was echoed (or at least the first syllables) by the man that identified himself as Megumi. That bizarre title was unimportant though. Not considering what else was known. " So really, there was a point of telling you apart from the sparkly little confession of trust and all that. If it does become well-known, I'll have to do a disappearing act. Just so you know. "

[ooc: i swear that real life will stop being so hectic soon. D: *cookies?*]

Sanae... made it a point not to get close to people. Unless they stuck out to him, like Joshua did, then they just sort of blended into a faceless mass. Joshua wasn't stupid, he was... well, human. They all slipped up.

"Interestin' story, Boss." Sanae said, tipping his head and looking at Joshua over the rims of his shades. "And if you need to do that, well, I can't blame you. I'd guess that that sorta thing is rather valuable to anyone, really... but don't forget about this old man, alright?" He said, smiling.

He didn't know what else to say, to be honest. There wasn't much that could be said, anyway.
