Life, Work Updates
(mostly copypasta from my FA journal) ;P
First things first! We've "officially" named our bunny! We've decided to call her Marabou after all, for two reasons. The main reason is, when we got her, her middle toes were about as beautiful as the bald and scabby head of a marabou stork. The second reason is, Marabou is also a brand of Swedish chocolate. (Guess what I'm getting when we next go to Ikea!)
Marabou fits pretty well, and she's really settled into life around the household. She eats and poops and sleeps and hops and does all the things a little bun should do. She's got a fantastic personality still, and is bold as can be. She loves playing on the floor while I'm working in the kitchen. Thank God for linoleum, which is apparently scary to bunnies, because it means she always stays on the area rug. X)
In other news Kenai's costume is FINALLY progressing! And by that I mean, I have finished sewing in the spots on the body! It feels like you're going nowhere when you sit and cut out spots and sew them in day in and day out. It's as tedious as data entry. >_> So tomorrow I finally get to sew up the body suit, and I'll feel like I'm actually getting something done. This costume's turning out quite beautifully, Kenai I am sure you will love it. :) The full suit should be done and ready to ship by the end of the coming weekend. All that is left to do is hands, tail, furring the feet and furring the head.
Also this week I have some stuff I need to ship out, some things that I just have been scatterbrained in getting out. Shane, your art is going to be among it, I will e-mail you when I get that out. I hate when I get scatterbrained about mailing some things, and I apologize for the delay. :X
This coming weekend is ReptiCon, in Orlando, and Joe and I are planning to hit it up. We've not been to Orlando in some time, going to hopefully see a friend or two in the area. In addition to ReptiCon we'll probably find ourselves at Sea World at least for a time. If you want to meet up for lunch/dinner let me know either here, via Twitter or send me a text/e-mail. :)
Today I've been feeling under the weather; while the rest of the region has been getting snow, all we've had was wind and rain, and tomorrow, cold. Hey, it'll still be a high into the 50's, so I'm not complaining TOO much, but I am ready for temps in the 70's again, please. :) I don't like this "wearing socks" thing! All this change in the weather has made my joints ache (doesn't help that I got beat up by the treadmill at the gym last week) not to mention my head. Because of that, I'll be heading off to bed after this, to get some much needed sleep. *flops*
