Music. And Spiders.

Okay so for my collection of MP3s I'm looking for the Ievan Polkka, the "leek spin" song, but I can't find the remix version anywhere, just the "original." I want the remix one you can find on YouTube but can't seem to find it. Anyone have it/care to share it? ;P I can trade Star Wars Disco for it!! XD

A couple days ago, while Joe was coming down the stairs he walked through a spider web line. It was across the stairs. The weird thing was, I had already come downstairs with the dog, and he was upstairs showering, and then when he made his way down, that was when he walked through the web. I thought it was strange but kind of brushed it off.

Then yesterday morning as I came downstairs again with the dog, as I do every morning, I walked past the rocking chair and there was another web line, this time from the ceiling to the floor. No spider in sight. It freaked me out, but again I just forgot about it.

And thennnn, last night, I got up to use the bathroom around 5am, and when I crossed through the doorway, I walked right through a spider line across the doorway, waist-high!! UGH!

I did get a look at the spider silk and it was the plain white that most spiders have, so I can rule out a golden silk orb weaver... those hardly ever get in the house anyway. I don't -think' it's a house spider because I thought those were more travelers, they're not really web-spinners, or at least not the types to send out a line to cross a span. They walk a lot. Same with a huntsman spider. Huntsman spiders -tend- to stay outdoors as they like the leafy places to hide. Although whatever kind of spider this is seems to get around a LOT as it's traveled much of the apartment in the past three days. :P I really doubt that it's any kind of an orb weaver at all because those set up shop and stay in one spot, they don't go traveling around like this.

My biggest concern is if this is a venomous spider. I don't know much about the habits of black widows or brown recluses. Something I'm looking up right now actually. I don't want Joe or I to get bit or one of the pets, and wind up in the hospital. Although Joe had a random spot appear on his shoulder the other day that wasn't really a pimple, could have been a spider bite... it didn't really have much of a reaction though.

It's strange that we should have a spider wandering the house in the first place because we have pest control that comes and sprays; it seems to keep most bugs at bay but not the spider?? The outdoor spray has killed many a huntsman spider I know, so... I dunno. Maybe it's a superspider that escaped from a lab and Joe's going to develop web-slinging abilities. :D
