The seminar yesterday wasn't too bad. The guy was a little weird (a stereotypical "San Fran" type of guy) and his ideas were a little strange, but, he was a clear speaker, connected well with everyone in the room, and at least didn't bring religion into it. (He said something to the effect of "You can USE this stuff religiously but I won't go into that here.") Because the way you would use his information religiously, doesn't exactly mesh with my religion. But I digress...
So the meeting ran until 5pm and I still had work to do. I ended up leaving even before all my work was done anyway because Joe had been working late and wanted to meet for dinner. So we went to Pizza Garden for dinner, and then on our way home we stopped downtown to get some apple cider and walk around the deserted touristy part of town. (January is always dead downtown; 6:30 pm seemed like 9pm because all the shops were closed up and there were no people around!) We enjoyed the Christmas lights which are still up, before they take them down at the end of the month. And I burned the tip of my tongue on the hot cider. ;_; I was sipping the whipped cream as I was walking and as I took a step some of the hot cider sloshed onto my tongue. ._. Ah well, it happens. Feels like my tongue dried out and I can't reconstitute it! Eek! :P
After we got home I had to give the cat tapeworm meds- he was VERY good about it. I had Joe hold him while I opened his mouth and put the pill in; he swallowed it with minimal effort. He's looking much healthier now that he's indoors and has regular access to food and water; his poops are well-formed and the proper color, which they had not been when I first brought him into the house. He's shaping up to be a nice, healthy little kitten. :)
Then I decided to give Reo a bath. He's been itchy lately and needed a good soak with the aloe & oatmeal shampoo.... I couldn't do it outside like I normally do so I bathed him in the tub. I got a LOT more wet that way. ;_; But he is much softer, much less itchy now. That whole ordeal really stretched my leg muscles, and so now this morning my calves are sore. Bah.
After bathing Reo it was starting to get late so I fed & watered the ferrets, gave Slinky her meds, and headed up to bed while Joe ordered some more chain mail rings to have enough supply for FWA. All in all it was a pretty busy evening. :I
Today I am going to be working my rear off at work and probably staying late. Goodness knows I've had enough overtime these past two weeks... X_x
