MFM Update
Okay, so here's the rest of the story. :P
First one roomie had to back out, so I got new roomies. Then first roomie was coming again but I didn't realize that she wouldn't be staying with us. So then new roomies backed out too, and I e-mailed original roomie to see if she was still planning on staying with us, which was not to be the case.
Ah well, misunderstanding, and lack of communication, it isn't much fun I guess.
In any case, this all turned out for the best. Joe and I now have a reservation at the Knight's Inn around the corner (it's on Airways instead of Democrat) and we will be able to bring the dog with us, so we won't have to pay for boarding him, and we won't have to worry if there is a hurricane while we are away. On top of that, we're only going to be paying (taxes included) $230 for a hotel room with a single bed in. Same cost as if we were going to share.
So now my only small dilemma is this; I need to see if I can borrow some space at someone else's hotel room to be able to change into Skittle. I wouldn't be storing her there overnight, just during the daytime, since I'll be switching into costume for things like the fursuit parade or the opening ceremonies, which are going on during peak artist's alley hours. That way I can change at the hotel instead of having to worry about going all the way back to our hotel room. Anyone got some extra closet space I might be able to borrow? :P
It's kind of a shame that we won't be in the main hotel, but, we need to be as thrifty as we can about this. At least now we get to bring the dog, too. I miss him when we're gone on trips. :P
