Sorry for being so quiet the past few days. I've been a-working. Thursday I had the day off, and Joe came home sick from work. Friday he stayed home all day, so I took the car in to work, and was there allll freaking day long. I had a creepy guy (possibly on drugs, or drunk?) harassing me, turned out he was wanted by the police. O_o But I hadn't seen him since he bugged me and then left, else I would've called the cops. Oy. Needless to say, I had my boss drive me out to the car (which was parked about a five minute walk from the store) just in case.
Saturday was insanely busy at work, lots of people all over the place. Lots of stupid people too. Today was better; today was kind of slow but still a good day as far as sales went. So I stayed busy. :3
Tomorrow I work in the back store, which is usually slow (hopefully it'll be plenty slow even though the races just ended) which means I'll have plenty of time to read and/or draw. I have some more drawing ideas I want to get out for MFM's t-shirt contest, which has a deadline of this Saturday (I like to cut it close I guess) but they're cute so I wanna see what I can do. I also have a book I need to read over the next couple of weeks. Tygermoon, I have your copy of the book also; when I see you next I will pass it off to you. :>
Joe's been doing a lot of work on Second Life and it's been supplementing our income nicely. (Unfortunately we are going to have to pay taxes on it... maybe he should buy a new laptop so we can claim the whole hobby-income and have it negate itself that way? hah!) I haven't been working on SL so much because I've been doing art, and have a LOT of stuff I want to do before MFM.
Our money situation has gone from super-tight to quite-alright. We're not rollin' in the dough or anything, but our bank account is back to "sufficiently padded" in case an emergency pops up. And this is after paying the bill for my doctor visit, and we'll even have enough to pay from our bank account for Reo's vet visit next week. Thank God! We were real close to rock-bottom (scraped my knees on the rock, I guess, hehe) but picked back up. Now we can generate a decent amount of savings. Also, even though our account is at a nicer number now, the lady that did Joe's payroll last week forgot to add on the pay for mileage to his paycheck so he's short by $80, so we have that additional money coming to us as well. I are a happy foxie.
I didn't get to exercise much this past week - been sick since the beginning of the week and just now getting over lung-tightness - and this next week my boss is out of town so Joe has to drop me off downtown at 8am. You'd better believe I'll be walking a bit in the mornings, but I need to get back into my pilates. I've just now gotten into better diet habits; not that I'm "dieting" but I have been trying to get more fiber, less sugar into my diet and it seems to be helping my digestive cycle. The scale now hovers around 200 instead of 203 to 205. Yay! I think I am slowly making progress. :)
Anyway, now that this update is over, I'm going to bed. :P
