Half days are always fun. I mean, what is better than waking up between the hours of 9:00 and 10:00 then going to school for three hours? Nothing at all.
Last night was the first night in which I slept in my new room. I must say, it gets pretty darn cold in this basement. I woke up freezing.....and I wore sweatpants and a long sleeve shirt to bed too. That still didn't help much.
I went to 7-11 before school today to fill up my 52oz. thermos thingy with a Slurpee. I got to the counter and the lady was talking on the phone and was like "That is filled with pop right?" and I was like, "Yep," paid my $1 and was on my merry way. Those big cups are only supposed to be filled with pop but I put a slurpee in it anyway. Oh well no big deal to me. When I got to school the classes I had was AP Chemistry, TV Production and English. In Chemistry we learned about equilibrium pressures and concentrations of acids and bases. Difficult stuff. Mr. Cook assigned some questions and we have tomorrow and Friday to work on them in class because he won't be there. Woo hoo! In TV, Mike and I were supposed to upload our video onto the computers but the only computer that we could have used was being used so that didn't happen. Instead we just played chess. I lost both games....shucks. Mike is a good chess player I can tell you that. In English I went out into the Student Center to read and I took my video camera too. I was taping people as they walked by and stuff. I taped 5 people and out of those five people, 4 of them flicked off the camera. I swear, everyone does that when someone has a camera in school. Then Jessica took the camera and had Lizzy tell this story. She is an excellent story teller...(not really). Then school was over and I was happy.
I've been in a Yellowcard craze lately. Ever since I got this CD from Tammi that is all I have been listening too. There is nothing wrong with that.....but no joke, it is ALL I HAVE BEEN LISTENING TO. Yellowcard in the car, Yellowcard in the room, Yellowcard in the living room, Yellowcard in the kitchen. I think I have heard this Yellowcard CD about 6 times today; no lie.
Joe Louis Arena is only two days away. I can't wait it is going to be fun. I get to meet some Red Wing players and go to a press conference and practice....all of which will be school related. I will be leaving sometime during 2nd hour then I will be returning sometime around 5:00 or 6:00. It's going to be a blast.
I made plans with someone to go to a movie on Friday, hopefully it will work out. She might be doing something with someone else but she isn't sure yet. I will be notified of what she will be doing tomorrow. It'd be sweet to go to a movie with her because I haven't been to a movie since before Christmas, and I haven't done anything but work on a Friday night since school started. First Friday off since I can remember.
I have to work tomorrow thus causing me to be unable to attend the hockey game in Plymouth. I really hope Heritage wins because then they will go to the state championship for the first time in school history. That will be on Saturday, which I have to work again. But the game starts at 11 and I don't have to work until 5. I will be able to go. I'm calling tomorrow's game right now. Heritage High School 3, Muskegon 1. Good luck boys.

"Believe"
Think about the love inside the strength of heart
Think about the heroes saving life in the dark
Climbing higher through the fire, time was running out
Never knowing you weren't going to be coming down alive
But you still came back for me
You were strong and you believed
Everything is gonna be alright
Everything is gonna be alright
Everything is gonna be alright
Be strong. Believe.
Be strong. Believe.
Think about the chance I never had to say
Thank you for giving up your life that day
Never fearing, only hearing voices calling out
Let it all go, the life that you know, just to bring it down alive
And you still came back for me
You were strong and you believed
Everything is gonna be alright
Everything is gonna be alright
Everything is gonna be alright
Be strong. Believe.
(Again today, we take into our hearts and minds those who perished on this site one year ago, and also those who came to toil in the rubble to bring order out of chaos, to help us make sense of our despair)
Wanna hold my wife when I get home
Wanna tell the kids they'll never know how much I love to see them smile
Wanna make a change or two right now
Wanna live a life like you somehow
Wanna make your sacrifice worthwhile
Everything is gonna be alright
Everything is gonna be alright
Everything is gonna be alright
Be strong. Believe.
Everything is gonna be alright
Everything is gonna be alright
Everything is gonna be alright
Be strong. Believe.
Think about the love inside the strength of heart
Think about the heroes saving life in the dark
Think about the chance I never had to say
Thank you for giving up your life that day
(The world will little note, nor long remember what we say here, but it can never forget what they did here)
