Read the subject line; Today was awesome.
The weather was absolutely beautiful.
Here's what happened today:
Picked up Lisa at 1 to go on our venture to figure out who was cheaper Meijers (her guess) or Wal-Mart (my guess). Our plan was to buy the same product from both stores. The loser had to pay the winner the difference in price. We decided that the product was going to be cake mix and frosting for the cake. With that as the product, we decided that the loser also had to bake the cake. It was a nice, wonderful friendly bet.
Our first stop was her choice of department stores, Meijer. She purchased Pilsbury Funfetti Cake Mix and Betty Crocker Funfetti Frosting. Total came to $2.52.
Then we made our way to Wal-Mart (my supercenter) and purchased the exact same products, down to the brand name and everything. Total came to $2.26.
I won.
She owes me a cake. I'm awesome.
After my boasting and bragging for about 5-10 minutes, we got some lunch at the Subway that is oh so conveniently located INSIDE the Super Wal-Mart. That was a good time. I then dropped her off at her house and then returned home.
Played ultimate frisbee/football after that until about 5:30. That was a plethora of fun.
Lounged around the house, read a book, watched TV until the Pistons game.
Pistons dominated.
Played basketball at Ray's house.
I've had enough exercise in the last two days to last me a month, but I am rather satisfied with that, so I think, if opportunity knocks, I'm going to keep doing it because I enjoyed every second of it.
Tomorrow ... probably going to the soccer game with Lisa because she owes me money.
Thursday, skipping two, yes TWO softball games so I can "watch" her graduate. It's not like I've been to enough damn commencement ceremonies. Hopefully this will be my last one until I graduate college.
Today was just super awesome.
"You bring me out, show me light,
I'm sorry if I hide, I'm too afraid to look inside.
You carry through, you make me smile.
If it were you and me tonight,
I would tame the stars and save the brightest one for you,
For you..." ~Amber Pacific
