I get my kicks on route six

So I had a very pleasant weekend. Did a bit more of the London LOOP on Saturday. Started at Coulsdon Common then went through Happy Valley and Farthing Down to Coulsdon Village. Had a bit of a dull suburban stretch after that but ended up walking through a field of lavender before reaching Oaks Park where I stopped for liver and bacon followed by a scone and jam. Carried on through Banstead Downs over a golf course and had an emergency tea/toilet stop at Nonsuch Palace. Finished on a slightly dull section by the Hogsmill River although I did go past Ewell Castle School which definitely had a touch of the Hogwarts about it. Got the train back from Malden Manor which is where I will resume on Wednesday. Sunday morning I was reading one of the lessons at church. I am a bit of a nervous public speaker but it helped a lot having a microphone and I got the thumbs up from the old boy sat next to me after I'd finished. Went round to my friend Sue's afterwards for her kitchen-warming party which was very enjoyable. Out for a curry with people from work last night and I have five days off now either side of the weekend. Will be meeting a few friends and will be trying to do a bit more of the LOOP and a bit of route spotting. Apart from walking my other weekend hobby is collecting London bus routes. Have done one to five so far and will be doing six on Thursday which goes from Willesden to Aldwych. Only about another two hundred to go ...
