The River
We live very close to the Potomac and Shenandoah Rivers. When the heat and humidity are so oppressive that even air conditioning can't put it in its' place, there's no better place to go than the river.
Did I mention we are dog sitting? This gentle giant's name is Sydney. He is large, smelly and quite slobbery. But, he is also very well behaved and very sweet. We have him til the first of August. It's been fun having a dog, but I will also be quite glad when he goes.
I love this house on the hill. Perhaps more the location than the house, it's a bit large for my taste. But it is lovely. Everytime we come here I think what an amazing view they must have. There are a pair of Eagles nesting quite close to them. I imagine the keep a pair of binoculars by the window to view them.
