I meant to post these ages ago, but they're a bit Hellfire related. Remember me saying I went and had a look around the Gothic Temple at Stowe? Well, normally it's not open to the public, so I pretty much wet myself as you can imagine. And, since the temple is crucial to Hellfire it's nice to show it a bit. Apologies some of these aren't fabulous, it was heaving in there, so I was dodging punters left, right & centre.
The Ceiling is genuinely a thing of incredible beauty.
All of the rooms inside, are completely circular, including the kitchen and bathroom. And everywhere, there's a real sense of... ornateness. That's not a word, but just a sense that decoration is it's own end. It is, after all, a great bit folly.
And, because I can't resist the place, some pictures of outside. The first is the view of from the temple out and over the main park.
The last two are quite specific. It'll be clear why when i link all these from the fic. But, this is the view from Hawkwell Field over to the temple.
