Yeah, amazingly enough, I somehow found a time to make a new song here in Japan. Well, it’s not so brand new, actually it had been halfway done by the time I left, but I was stuck in a middle and only here I got some new ideas, so I finished it. But the problem here was how to record it. Firstly, in our center there is an electronic piano, which is something like a really lame keybord from 20 years ago and it doesn’t sound anywhere near good, and secondly, the recording device I’ve borrowed is something that’s made for recording human voices, so basically my voice can be heard (unfortunately) very clearly, but the piano music is quite subdued. I’ll make a better version when I’m back home (if the planes don’t crash). So, well, this is just for the feeling :
music,
Cherries
It’s dark
Your face is hidden by the clouds
So I can’t see in your eyes
What’s in there
Tell me
What is in there
There were stars in blueberry bushes
Someone took them away
There were angels sitting on my doorsteps
But they weren’t here to stay
So dark
That I can see nothing at all
Don’t even know
If you’re here anymore
Are you in there
Tell me
You’re still in there
There was an old house
Cherries in the garden
A boy and a girl played there everyday
And one day he told her:
Wait here in the garden
I’ll come back to you
When the cherries are in bloom
/And they bloomed
And they fell
And they bloomed
And they fell/:
Until the twilight came
/And they bloomed
And they fell
And they bloomed
And they fell/:
And then the twilight came.
