Saw the circus the other day. It was amazingly great, and one day I really going to join one. I wish I could remember the costumes better, though. All the animal trainers and the ringmaster had this black-and-white thing going on, so that they changed colors when the lights hit them. The three horse trainers were a woman in all black, a man in all white, and another man in stripes. It was cool.
I got a paycheck. Finaly. It's more than a hundred dollars short because I was payed at the wrong rate, .209 instead of .25. I'll be getting another check.
Work has been as good as can be expected. I've taken to doodling on ghetto sketchbooks made from stapled together caricature paper. It sounds kind of pathetic, now that I look at it written down, but my official sketchbook is too official looking, and can't be easily hidden. I'm a sketchbook OUTLAW, man. I can't be tied down. Mostly it's griffins (fun fact: there are more than twenty different ways to spell that word) and various doodles of Gregory and Jake, a deer and a fox. I started with Jake but I actually like Gregory more. His reaction to anything startling is to try and trample it to death. He did this to Jake when Jake tried to eat him, and now they are friends because that is the way these things work. It is a shame I will probably forget all about them in a couple months.
Ice cream party at Pam's tomorrow. She's going to china with her uncle's kung fu school. Speaking of China, I had to deal with some Chinese people today. Their shirts said that they were a Learn English Summer Party. They spoke amazingly well, but the girls were the DEFINITION of spastic. I mean, my god. The boys seems polite, if a little pushy, but the two girls I had to paint? It was like juggling squirrels. Loud, shreiking squirrels with no concept of personal space. I have never in two years had anyone like these two girls. They made Israeli girls look like damp paper dolls, and Israeli girls are like being in a whirlwind of long skirts and shouting. I am never going to China.
I think my job is making me racist.
