Character

Name:
Fandom: Kingdom ♥ Hearts
Gender: ♂
Age: 16
Time Period: post-KHII
Wing Color: sky blue
History: click

Personality: Sora has the heart of a lion, no, seriously. If the power of a person's heart had the equivalence to physical strength, Sora could be flipping over cars, or lifting a-thousand pound weights with only the use of one finger. Sadly, that isn't the case. Sora's strength, as stated in the game, comes from his friends. The desire to protect them gives him the power to defeat enemies, and ultimately wield the Keyblade. Not that making friends is a particularly difficult thing for Sora, he's a naturally open and friendly type of guy, which draws people to him. He could make almost anyone into one of his friends. And once you've earned that title, Sora will be extremely loyal, and do anything to protect you.

The perfect caricature of an optimist, Sora sees the bright side of things, and won't hesitate to point it them out for you. He has a ruling sense of justice and doesn't make excuses for people who have wronged him, or anyone he cares about. He'll put them in their place, Keyblade out and ready. Along with his strong heart, he admittedly has the mind of a child. He isn't the fastest to catch onto things, and sometimes his mind works on one track, in one direction. Sora isn't above pulling faces at people he doesn't like, or using childish arguments or insults against them. That's just the way he functions.

Strengths:
Physical: Judging on physical ability alone, Sora could be considered supernatural. A pint-size Hercules in his own right. He wields the Keyblade, a key-shaped weapon that contains the power to defeat darkness and unlock hearts. It can open any locked door or keyhole, and the "heart" of any world he travels to. The Keyblade chooses it's owner based on the strength of the individual's heart, and returns to that person whenever summoned.

The Keyblade choose Sora.

A natural born swordsman, Sora wields the Kingdom Key with both hands, and finishes off opponents with a devastating one-handed blow. Strength is his forte, and he uses powerful strikes to defeat enemies, he can also use spheres of light to wipe out any leftover attackers. Sora has use of a wide range of magical attacks like firaga(creates a large mass of fire), blizzaga(flings ice crystals at enemies), and aeroga(an air formed barrier that serves as the ultimate shield). In Kingdom ♥ Hearts II, along with a severely needed change of clothing courtesy of three fairies, Sora gains the use of three drive forms. Valor form, wisdom form, and master form. Valor form is the first form gained, and is strictly attack oriented. It's heavy-hitting based, and features Sora dressed in red with an adorning fleur-de-lis detail. Wisdom form is a magic based transformation, the only one Sora goes through in the game. It's solely focused on magic use, and causes Sora to shoot blue blasts of magic while suspended in mid-air. Of course, his outfit is a matching blue with fire like designs. Master form is the deadly culmination of the wisdom and valor drive forms, causing Sora to abandon his party while transformed. It allows Sora to wield two Keyblades, one through normal handling, and the other controlled by magic. Needless to say, by having these forms in his back pocket Sora is at the least a dangerous opponent, one that should be handled with caution. At the end of the series Sora is able to defeat mountains of heartless, over a thousand, without batting an eye.

In simpler terms, Sora is a hero of godmod proportions.

Mental: Sora, he isn't necessarily what people would call book smart. But what he does have, is a overlying sense of right and wrong. A simple-minded concept of justice that goes something like, if you hurt my friends, I'll hurt you. He'll come after you Keyblade brandished and swinging; unrelenting. He's mentally aware of the weight of his quest, and the burden the Keyblade bearer has to carry, the fate of worlds rests in his hands, and he knows that.

Emotional: Sora is the walking talking definition of a hero. He's overtly head-strong, and he'll willingly sacrifice himself for a stranger. Sora is fiercely loyal to his friends, namely Riku and Kairi, he puts their safety above all else. His actions are always sincere, and if he tells you something there's a 99% chance it's the truth. Sora also exhibits a striking capacity to forgive, like when he forgave Naminé for altering his memories, or when he forgave Riku for trying to beat him up all those times. If he thinks you've changed, yeah, you'll get a second chance. It's all part of Sora's policy.

Weaknesses:
Physical: Sora's biggest weakness is that without his Keyblade, he's virtually defenseless. Sure, he could take down a few normal opponents fists only, but when it comes to heartless, he wouldn't stand a chance. A particularly scrawny teenage boy against swarms of heartless, you do the math. Sora will charge into a battle head-first without any sort of planning beforehand, this comes as a large disadvantage when dealing with smarter opponents.

Mental: Sora, admittedly, is simple-minded. He isn't incredibly fast at putting two-and-two together, and you might have to explain something to him more then once. Sora gives his trust away a little too easily, if he has no reason not to trust you, he'll take what you're saying at face value. This making him easy to manipulate, and gullible.

Emotional: Sora has the mind, and the mentality of a child. When confused, he's quick to default to anger. He has a a sharp competitive edge, always trying to beat out Riku in various competitions. If you challenge him, he won't back down. He lets his emotions get the best of him, causing Sora to be highly impulsive, and put himself into situations without thinking first. The phrase look before you leap comes to mind.

First Person:
[The journal clicks on, and for a second all you see is a mess of spiky brown hair.]

Woah, is this thing on?

[and then there's Sora attached to the mop of hair, he clears his throat before continuing.]

Excuse me? Excuse me! I'm looking for my friends, their names are Donald and Goofy. The first one's a talking duck, easy to spot, and has a really loud mouth. The second one's a dog, he can talk too. Anyway! He carries around a huge shield, so he shouldn't be that hard to find.

Oh! And my other friends Kairi and Riku. Kairi is really pretty, she is a princess you know. She has red hair and blue eyes, tell me if you see her! And Riku, he has long silver hair, kind of girly now that I think about it.

Don't tell him I said that.

Third Person:Sora's life has always been a simple game of tag, always moving, a perpetual inescapable cycle of run and catch. Chase down Riku, find Kairi, and the moment he stops to take a breath, they set off running. A game where he's always it. It seems now that they've ran out of sight, this time, he can't even place a finger on the moment they got away. One second, a paradise of sand and sunlight, the next, surrounded by forest, wings glued and secured on his back. His skin is still burnt and bronze, and his hair, still bleached a dirty blond by too much sun. He swears that he can still feel the sand, gritty and rough in his shoes. Somehow, Sora knows that he won't be returning to that life anytime soon. What he also knows, is that if he has any chance of finding Kairi and Riku, he had to make it out of this maze of a forest first.

Which was a difficult task, all things considered. The trees all looked alike, and for all Sora knew, he could be wandering in circles. Take that back, he was wandering in circles, he would swear on his life he'd passed that tree at least three times already. With a heavy sigh, he resolved to keep going, keep walking and he was sure that he'd find his way through. Sora, he's just an optimist like that. And sure enough, a light appeared at the end of the tunnel, a way out. A sliver of light beamed through the dense mass of forest, and Sora found himself picking up his pace, and finally sprinting all out toward it.

Sora burst into the heart of Luceti, the marketplace. Hundreds upon hundreds of the winged populace were crowded around, a swarm of buyers and sellers, looking for a good deal. Sora, he wasn't interested. There was only the thought of finding his newly lost friends on his mind. He jumped up onto a nearby crate and cleared his throat, and yelled at the top of his lungs into the mass of people,

"Kairi, Riku!"

Plenty of people turned from their business to glance up at him, but none of them matched the description. He found himself scanning the crowd for a flash of red, a glimpse of silver. Nothing. He hopped down off the crate, disappointed, but not willing to give up.

He'd find them. He always did.
