Thinking differently about thinking different

Question.  How does one create a retail store, that everyday normal joe-scmoes can go to, that sells product that continually changes on a regular basis, and have it be successful?  Changes that change so much and so quick that having consistency is really not a factor. LIke, clothing for example, is pretty consistent.  Hmm, I think I just answered my thought on that one but the original one still stands.  It's not trends that are selling in this retail store.  This store creates trends.  Trends are superficial.  It's actual improvements and actual change of product that makes it completely different and better.  It's like if you bought a hair shirt.  A hair shirt was a damning thing to have to wear in the medieval ages.  And no one wears them now, well physically.  However, they have been improved upon over the ages and pretty much you could say that they are now wool shirts.  They're more refined.  It's like, who the hell figured out how to make garments out of stuff that comes from a worms butt?  For then it was somewhat common, like our cotton is today, but now, the worm butt garments are pretty effing expensive.  Now these two garment examples took centuries to develop and sell.  But what about creating a retail store that sells things that develop with in a year and a half?  They develop, or change, or improve, so rapidly that retail store and it's consumers don't have the time to adjust to the change.  What kind of environment does this create?  What kind of environment does this create for the retail store and it's employees?  And what kind of environment does this create for the customer of that retail store?  Especially if the typical customer is an every day joe-schmoe whom would most definitely not be of the “need for change” stature?  How does one who is involved in this entire process accept the change?  Is knowing what the big picture of what is going on part of the acceptance?  Knowing that yes, the environment is built on consistent change. And it is the change that one must be comfortable with in order to survive.  How does this retail store grow and keep employees and customers happy?

My stomach is churning just thinking about this.  Maybe I need coffee.  This is my work on a daily basis.  I'm trying to think of ways to better accept all forms of change with in my work environment.  I know that change is good.  I know that moving the cheese is what it's all about.  It's just that in most companies the change takes over an acceptable amount of time and that people are given time to work with it.  And when it does happen in a typical company it rarely happens.  However, In my company, it seriously changes like every year and a half.  Full monty.  Not just the product but the people and how it's run too.  I guess I just need to think different about thinking different.  How does he DO that!!??!!?
