My dad has been teaching me how to prune the three Myrtle sisters Mr. Myiagi style. Or rather in the ways of Aikido. He said that when he was in Aikido training in Tokyo that the class had to learn the ki of trees, among other things, and how to prune them properly. I had no idea how to prune. But the way my dad taught me allows me to give the tree the respect it deserves. I find it to be a calming activity. And then I tended to the weeding in the gardenia garden. Last week I planted the Iris garden. It's still a work in process.
Work has been insane. Normally, our fellow repair center has three times the load of repairs of ours. They are closing for three weeks and we are now taking in their repair load atop of our increasing load. I'm finding it to be challenging and somewhat rewarding at the same time. I want to see us come out of this with flying colours. I've already logged in an entire shift as overtime. Kinda makes me feel smarmy.
For the past 8 weeks, and I know I hadn't posted this before, I've been on Dr. Weil's 'Optimum Health Plan'. It's amazing. And I don't have to think about what to eat. Everything is planned out with easy to prepare meals and daily menus. I've managed to change some and learn some new healthy eating/living habits. This makes me happy.
Devin got me a white DSLite. It's amazing.
I've embarked on the tip of an iceberg for development learning at work. So, I suppose, now, I have a lot of reading to do. I find this challenging because I associate reading with sleep. Yah, like, read half an hour and I'm out like a light. Can we say Pavlov's dog? I need to find a way of breaking this habit. Perhaps reading right when I get up instead. Me thinks I am on to something. . .
Full moon in a couple of days. April's Aries moon is a seed moon. I think it would be appropriate for me to celebrate.
Tomorrow. . .I'm assisting on teaching a class for Networking. ::crosses fingers:: I hope it goes well.
