05. Jamie Stryder
Played by Josh Hutcherson
Jamie is made of such win. If I had a brother I would want him to be just like him. I love how when Wanderer first met Jamie in the books how he tried so hard to be tough, but that isn't him. Jamie is an energetic, lovable kid that you couldn't possibly hate. He has a strong heart, and is the first one to generally like Wanderer for who she is.
Reason for play by: I think Josh Hutcherson fits the category for Jamie at all angles because his the perfect age, and how his described in the book it's impossible for me not to think of anyone else but him.
Skandar Keynes - Nathan Norton
Alternate play bys: Skander Keynes is actually kind of a bit young to play him in my opinion, but his a little olderer now since the Chronicles Of Narnia, and could probably pull him off just fine. Nathan Norton ( who I found on a official webstie for young actors ) looks more like Kristin Kreuk, who I picture as Melanie. And his so pretty to look at. I mean for a boy - he's definitely a pretty one.
04. Ian O'Shea
Played By Ian Somerhalder
I love Ian. He is so adorable, sweet, and generous. Especially the relationship he builds with Wanderer in the end and how protective he is of her. It's so special.
Reason for play by: Most people have him pictured for Ian and I could see why. Plus, I have I think his damon!persona would be so perfect for his twin brother Kyle. He could do evil and good, and make it completely believable.
Craig Horner - Jason Behr
Alternate play bys: Jason Behr is another person who could pull off the bad and good thing. Plus, he is an amazing actor, and when I wasn't picturing Ian, I sometimes picture him. Craig Horner I think could do a terrific job, too. He needs more acting roles. He is so amazing!
03. Melanie Stryder
Played By Kristin Kreuk
She gave Wanderer quite a fight! I love how strong she is through all of this. And stubborn. And her survival instincts. How close she is to her brother and Jared. And no matter what, she stuck it through until the end. Definitely a woman to look up to.
Reason for play by: I know most people pictured Sophia Bush, but I never was fond of her much, so I always imagined Kristin Kreuk. I think she fits pretty well. She is beautiful and a talented actress.
Sophia Bush - Jessica Stroup
Alternate play bys: Although I'm not fond of the actress, that doesn't mean I don't think she wouldn't fit as Melanie. I love her character in One Tree Hill. I think she did a terrific job in The Hitcher and could pull off any other thriller roles in the future. Jessica Stroup - who also does great in thrillers - seems rather fitting. I love the actress. And her promo photos in Homecoming has me convinced she would make an awesome Melanie.
02. Jared Howe
Played by Jesnen Ackles
Jared is such a BAMF! I love his character so much. He kind of scares me in the beginning of the books, but I loved that. Plus, he's so dreamy how he is described. I LOVE HIM.
Reason for play by: Jensen Ackles is clearly fitting. I think 90% of the fans agree with me that he is perfect. End of story.
Paul Walker - Matt Damon
Alternate play bys: Paul Walker is gorgeous. Unfortunately, I think he is such an underrated actor. He needs more love. I think he would be an amazing Jared. As for Matt Damon? I only thought of him because Meyer stated she would like to cast him as Jared. I didn't think much of it until I stared at his gallery and realized he would be pretty fitting. Matt is a hottie and his an amazing actor.
01. Wanderer
Played by Melanie Thierry
I love Wanderer. She is so selfless. She puts those in front of her, even to those who doesn't deserve it ( i.e. Kyle ) because that is who she is. She is such an amazing character that I've fallen in love with from the beginning to the end of the book.
Reason for play by: I will admit I didn't picture Melanie at first, but recently I stumbled upon stills of Babylon AD and remembered the actress Melanie. I realized how perfect she is as Wanderer. She doesn't look like she is capable of deceiving others. Her complexion is flawless, as well as her hair. She is just my Wanda down to the T.
Elisabeth Harnois - Amanda Seyfried
Alternate play bys: Elisabeth Harnois is a great actress. I have no doubt in mind she would also male a great Wanda. And Amanda Seyfried fits pretty close to how Pet is described in the books.
