ch-ch-ch-changing

What was the name of the band who played the song with the following lyrics: With my naked eye I saw the falling rain coming down on you; with my naked eye I saw it; I set it off; It feels all right; It feels all right. I've had that song in my head all day long and can't get it out of my head.

Steven is all moved out and Dinesh is back in Martin County to see his family. It's pretty lonely around here, but I've been hanging out with Matias and Shannon a lot, so it's cool. A couple of days ago we watched a movie called SLC Punks. I am in no way a punk fan so I wasn't sure what to expect, but it was actually pretty damn good. It's strange but despite my lack of enthusiasm for the genre I seem to attract a lot of punk influenced people. They just seem easier to get along with. Kinda like the goth kids from good ole' Lake Brantley. I am not and have never been or wanted to be a goth, but they were a very accepting group of people and I respected many of them for it. People aren't as directly judgemental in college, but a lot of people still quietly and more politely carry these ideals into their post-high school years. I guess punks and punk influenced people just seem to be more accepting, open, and strange. The music sucks. I mean listen to the Ramones. If you've heard one song you've heard them all, but they love them. Listen to the Sex Pistols: same thing. Fuck the music. Hell, fuck the idea of anarchy. I wish a ruleless system could exist, but unless we go back to Hunting and Gathering societies this can never successfully happen. Even if we do this there will still be cultural laws that people will follow. Humans are genetically programmed to use culture and this will never change.

I just got my grades back for this semester. Much hard work. It payed off:

General Sociology (I didn't even try...) - B (3.00)
Human Diversity (I studied my ass off) - B (3.00)
Hindu Thought (26+ pages of DOOM!) - A- (3.75)
Anthropological Theory (Should have had a C) - A (4.00)

Semester GPA: - (3.44)
GPA: - (3.41)

My grades didn't turn out nearly how I expected them to. I believe I should be on the Dean's list once again. Woopty Doo... Well, I'm excited.

This summer I will be taking Forensic Anthropology for summer session A and I'm going to try to get a General Biology class at Seminole Community College because UCF is making it a bitch to get the class there.

Furthermore, this will be the last post of this kind on this Piscean type journal. Dinesh is displeased with the journal format and wants us to use a more band friendly approach. The journal will be more focused on song analysis and perhaps poetry. It is quite possible that we may return to the previous format, however, this will probably only be if the band can successfully form a fan base. I may start a new journal for myself. If I do I will mention it on this journal. Anyone and everyone is welcome to add me to their friends list if I do so.

As I was always told in Anthropological theory by Dr. Geiger, the drug-free-hippie-teacher-who-acts-like-a-pothead--1-1--anyways, I will leave you with a tid bit of information I learned.
