I saw Dawn of the Dead and Passion of the Christ the other night. That equals out to 5 hours of a lot of blood and gore. Which is pretty cool. Dawn of the Dead was pretty entertaining. It's more fast-paced and action packed than the original. The cinematography was really good, as I was pointing out cool camera shot after cool camera shot. But it was lacking the cheesy charm that the original did. As for The Passion, I believe it was a very well done movie. I wasn't looking forward to reading subtitles, but it didn't bother me...it added to the experience. Mel Gibson sure likes to put a lot of violence in his movies...not that that's a bad thing. The Passion is a really good piece of film-making, but it was also a bit of a propaganda-machine. I don't like religion being shoved down my throat, which this movie actually did a good job of not doing most of the time. So a good time was had by all...or just me, I guess.
