...floating again in complete darkness. Silent at first, but then a quiet whisper, something so far away yet so familiar. He struggles to make it out.

He tries to move but can't seem to find the strength.

The voice seems a bit closer now. Suddenly in the eternal darkness he sees a very small and very faint light. Within seconds he is pulled towards it like a moth to the flame.
"who are you?" the voice now very clear.
He blinks and tries to focus his eyes on the figure before him. The blinding light of the rising sun only allows him to see her silhouette. He raises his hand to shade his eyes. He sees her. Time stops for what seems an eternity and his heart sinks. He has reached this moment, he knows where it leads, and most importantly he truly begins to understand.
