About Me

From a humble, traditional home, I learned to treasure the small, sincere, and true things in life. Often, I find myself alien to today's morally liberal idealism. Not to say, I did not assimilate, but in doing so, I felt I was leaving behind a part of my culture. When I was 13 years old, I started high school (a new district; new people= no friends) and it was a rough start. Shortly after, I had my first girlfriend, and she was wildfire. Older, more experienced, more direct, and capricious, she opened my social world. Still, as life seemed to fall in place, I felt I needed an outlet. I wanted something more real without social, cultural restraints where I could express myself. Then, an English teacher introduced; into my life, the concept of a mandatory journal as a daily grade.

After a week of writing, " My day was good. I had a good day. I hope tomorrow is good," I started writing. Suddenly, I found myself needing to write. I found enjoyment in it. After the year and my English class came to a conclusion, I kept writing, but I worried someone would read my hard cover journal. So, on a whim, I turned to LJ making all my entries private. Password locked, my journal was safe, but I noticed something. People were sharing, and through sharing they grew as a collective. I spend a year writing, and sharing on LJ, and I I enjoyed it. At 17, I joined the military. At 18, I got married (yes, young, but very much in love). At 24, I completed my service, and got halfway through my bachelors in Microbiology. At 25, I got divorced, and it shock my foundation. I took a break from college, and start working as a truck driver. I will be going back to finish my degree this Fall semester (2020).  I wanted to get away from it. Now, I find myself better than before, and I just want to give myself this therapeutic experience of writing again. I hope to make new friends, to learn from you, and to teach others.
