Having lived in Southern California my entire life (and my family never really traveled anywhere), it's so hard to imagine somewhere with actual SEASONS.
It's like "What is is autumn you speak of? *head tilt*"
It's a time of year when the oppressive heat of summer suddenly dissipates and is replaced by cool breezes and the sweet smell of dry pine needles and leaves :)
Ah, Sweetie, I know how it is. Being poor this year has me staying home. I really miss you being an hour away. And yes, it's low 60's and sunny out there. Leaf color is just starting to come in. However, you really, really need to get some rest. You've been overdoing.
I've been playing with your dehydrator some more. I turned out some beautiful dried tomatoes last night. Supper was, um.... stewed hen with homegrown green beans and some of Pete's cabbage thrown in. With work so slow, I get to tinker about the place. Kitty gets more walkies.
you can take the girl out of the mountain, but you can't take the mountain out of the girl. It's all here like you remember. This week wouldn't of been good for it anyway. Supposed to rain all this week.
