I really love this day re-naming process; it makes me laugh and love fandom that much more for the zaniness. The most amusing thing is how oddly fitting the re-namings are. [Pardon me while I get all fast and loose with the mythology, okay?]
See, Wednesday is named for Wodan/Wotan, the Germanic trickster god who mucks about at crossroads, messes around with fate and destiny, thus remaining extremely unpredictable. Sound familiar? And Thursday belongs to Thor, the common man's god who defeats giants and the great, chaotic forces that threaten the very structure of the world. *cue heroic music here* Add in that Thor's a storm god and this bit: Thunder=boom-sticks=Winchester. [Yeah, I'm also having a fandom overlap and thinking about Army of Darkness and boom-sticks loaded with rock salt.] See? Very logical. :D
Aren't you glad I mostly keep myself entertained with these thoughts? Y'all have thus far missed my Personal Lost Theories, the current Shiniest of these being entitled "'The Tempest' revisited: or this is Prospero's Island... if so,where [and who] is Prospero?"
Now I have to go write on my Writing Process and the concept of Meaningful Livelihood, as it relates to higher education [Though I squished them together into one sentence, they are thankfully two separate papers.]. Which prolly means I'll end up with some finished *creative* writing, as my muse is currently wearing the guise of a rebellious punk rock princess and believes every day is opposites day.
