Hanging around in Eljay land on Sundays is rather like loitering in a park next to your best friend's house during the last days of summer. I always recommend The Odyssey and East of Eden, but another book that I absolutely loved, The Alienist by Caleb Carr.

The questions that annoy me most in memes are the ones that ask you to list your 5 favourites of something. I mean how can you write a list of favourite books/CD etc and stop at 5 ( ... )

Books - ooh, tough one. The two most common ones are Moonheart (for reasons you yourself are familiar with) and The War for the Oaks by Emma Bull/coffeeem - one of the best modern day Fae tales...in fact, I believe I read it before Moonheart.

Memes - eh...either "the which (insert fandom here) character" type or else the "random things about you" types rate pretty high on my annoyance list.

books! I like books. I always recommend A Trip to the Stars by Nicholas Christopher and the His Dark Materials series by Philip Pullman.
