Yarrrrrrn!
I've been thinking that maybe I need to learn to crochet. Or knit - knitting looks like fun, right?Basically, I just want something to keep my hands occupied on car trips and in waiting rooms, give my natural restlessness a bit of a distraction. As much as I'd like that craft to be clay, it isn't the most practical of mediums for such travel adventures. Unfortunately, fiber arts and I have a bit of a history. I tend to equate yarn crafts and I with these sorts of results. And I honestly don't know a lot *about* portable fiber arts. I think this requires a poll. *nods*

What I've done in the past is make matchstick Ojo de Dios, using floss. It works well for car trips especially. But really - there's a pretty limited number of god's eyes one needs. I'd like to learn something more useful. So... any ideas, gang?
ETA:bodhifox just suggested Nalbinding. This is pretty fascinating. And mousme, talking about hooking... rugs remains endlessly hilarious.:D
