May is Sea Monster Month at
Torn World, and as part of our celebration, I did 20 21 sea monster art cards, soliciting sponsorships and running a few 'pick your monster' polls along the way.
This project is a wrap! Sponsors have first dibs on these originals, and the remainder will be available for sale next week. (But not at the awesome low project price, sorry!) The full public views will continue to be posted throughout the rest of the month at the
Torn World art gallery, but you can see a sneak preview above, and see a list of the cards I made here:
http://ellenmillion.livejournal.com/1373367.html We got to $146 total, which unlocked an article I'm working on (When Sea Monsters Attack!), a drawing for a free original card among sponsors (congratulations
meeksp!), and an additional monster card, bringing our total to 21.
This project was a TON of fun. I really enjoyed it, and will be doing something like it again soon. It has helped me break out of my fear of color, and I have rediscovered my love of colored pencils in a Big way.
I'm also Kickstarting my new coloring book! It's been a wild ride so far; I'll post something more coherent later in the campaign about my crowdfunding thoughts about it.
