If permitted I would like to nominate two writers.

Shirley Meier

for "Eclipse Court"

The struggle of the spoiled and abused heir of an Empire to grow to adulthood as a moral and decent human being.

and also

Karen Werhstein

for "A Philosopher in Arms"

The story of a great warrior born to serve his people, burdened with a secret prophesy of doom, and kidnapped into exile!

Both of these stories share the same world and several characters. They are freely available to read with please donate buttons.

Both are examples of exceptionally fine storytelling seeking a thoughtful and intelligent audience!

Thanks Valdary and "Anonymous" for the nominations. To fill in the missing info: _The Philosopher in Arms_ posts every weekday other than Canadian statutory holidays and occasional author vacations, averaging 2000 words per post. Post 190 will appear tomorrow (Jan. 4 2010). It is funded entirely by donations though it will soon also offer advertising space, and I am considering other monetization strategies.

I'm putting a link to here up on my site now -- but it would be cool if there were a little graphic. Any plans in the work to create one?

Thanks everso for the link! We can use all the promotional help we can get.

We don't have a logo yet. There has been some discussion about creating one, in the original award post:

I'm also talking this up on Weblit.us and will tweet further. Look for a passle of nominations soon.

I found that logo discussion (of course) after I'd posted this ;-) Have graphic designer? I might have a lead or two.

Yay! This is starting to get exciting!

So far, we've had several non-artists pitch out ideas. haikujaguar is an artist, and part of that discussion, but I don't know if she has actually decided to tackle drawing a logo. You should probably check with her first to see if she is. If she's not, then go ahead and see if someone you know would like to do it. The award doesn't have a fund to pay for materials yet ... but if this works, a lot of eyeballs are going to roll over that logo.

Project Title: "Addergoole"
Creator Name: Lyn Thorne-Alder
Link: http://addergoole.com/
Category: Fiction.
Summary: "Addergoole" is an ongoing (2009-current) dark fantasy serial with erotic overtones about a strange, magical world hidden beneath the known. It is funded entirely by reader donations, with all content immediately viewable.

p.s. why haven't Muse's Success (http://muses-success.info/) & Web Fiction Guide (http://webfictionguide.com/) been listed under the browsing sections? Surely they are examples of websites listing only crowdfunded projects?

Thank you for making a nomination.

I have added "Muses Success" to the resources list above. I'm not comfortable recommending Web Fiction Guide at this time.
