Snowy didn't think twice about launching himself from the helicopter, running across the grounds, barking all the way up to the castle. "Tintin! Tintin!" he called, listening carefully for his master's reply. "Tintin! Where are you?"
He halted at the castle entryway, sniffing carefully for Tintin's familiar scent. He didn't pick up on it right away, but he quickly found another smell. This one just as tempting to follow as Tintin's. Food! Snowy began to trot in the direction of the smell, swiping his tongue over his lips as he thought of all the delicious things he could smell. He was halfway down a corridor when he stopped, whimpering unhappily as he remembered his search for his master. He was famished, but he knew that feeding himself wasn't as important as finding Tintin. He could eat once he'd found him. And besides; what if Tintin needed his help?
Snowy spent a good ten minutes sniffing around the castle after that, definitely picking up Tintin's scent, but none of it recent enough for him to follow a definite trail. Whimpering, Snowy sat down next to one of the patches of smell he'd found. This one was at least two days old, but he still found some comfort knowing that Tintin had been here.
Flopping into a lying position, Snowy raised his head miserably, letting loose an ear splitting howl.
