Tosh woke up a bit later than she was used to the next morning, her head pounding - not unexpectedly. Wincing, she pulled a robe on and padded into the bathroom, removing the contacts that had been in far too long and exchanging them for her glasses, then swallowing a couple aspirin and washing them down with a glass of water. Owen was still asleep, not that she was terribly surprised. He seemed bound and determined to relax, and that probably meant sleeping in. Tosh, on the other hand, had always been a light sleeper and an early riser.
She shrugged and went down to the kitchen, scooping ground coffee into the coffeepot and leaving it to percolate. Maybe some people (like most in Britain) thought that they could subsist on instant coffee, but Tosh preferred the real thing. Ianto's was better, it was true, but hers would suffice. While she was waiting for the coffee to finish, she slid the door open and sat down in a chair by the reflecting pool, enjoying the peace and quiet of the morning. She wondered idly if there were koi somewhere around, and if she could transport them to her pool. Some fish and foliage would, she thought, really make it look nice.
