Anastacia let out a heavy sigh and thumped her head down onto the book that lay open in front of her.  She immediately regretted this as the pungent scent of archaic pages assailed her nostrils.  She jerked her head back, wrinkling her nose, and letting out a delicate sneeze.  Rubbing her nose, she looked up, taking in the extravagantly large library once more, amazed by the sheer number of books here.

Carson had always had a lot of books, though Anastacia couldn't say she'd been acquainted with most of them.  She liked stories that were short, sweet, and full of adventure, but she'd much rather see a play or a movie, with some dear friends.  There was something so lonely about being curled up with a book, and she always found herself aching to get out there and have adventures of her own, rather than read about someone else's.

So what was she doing here, surrounded by a sizeable pile of texts?  She asked herself this same question, as she laid her cheek on her fist, and started flicking through pages again.

She'd been inspired to seek out information after listening to a series of messages on the text, that seemed to indicate that both a woman and a man had been killed, only to be spontaneously resurrected days later.  Resurrection itself wasn't strange to her, though she knew it was something she could never look forward to herself, given that her soul was bound more tightly to the divine planes than the material ones.  However, resurrection without ceremony, cleric, or seeming cause?  She could only conclude that there was a divine influence at hand.  She was determined, as a matter of course, to puzzle out which god or goddess would be responsible for such a thing.

She was coming up empty however, and was about ready to give up.  But the library seemed to possess infinite hidden recesses, and she couldn't help but suspect that the very last one she looked in would hold the secrets she sought.

But does it really have to involve so much reading?  she thought to herself with a bit of a whine, as she stacked the pile of books up and prepared to go corner spelunking again.
