The Doctor paced the castle in long strides, stopping periodically to observe some obscure piece of architecture or otherwise impressionable piece of art. At least impressionable to him, but his taste was fickle and his mind was on other things. He's been in the castle for exactly sixteen minutes after a helicopter ride that seemed to last an eternity. The whole time he complained about the ineffectiveness of the transportation, knowing full well the pilot had no idea what he was going on about. Thinking back now, the Doctor wondered briefly if the pilot ever even said anything back. He sighed shallowly, removing his glasses and folding them neatly back in his pocket. Sam whirled around on the spot upon hearing someone speak. His fingers tightened on his beretta hidden in his coat instinctively. The guy didn't look dangerous, but ... you never knew. "I don't know." Sam replied, glancing up from the floor to the man. "Do you live here? It looks like something happened here..." he trailed off.

The Doctor froze where he was, placing a hand to the back of his neck. "Um, no, no. Can't say I do. Because I don't. And... that would be lying," he clarified helpfully. Moving a step closer, he eyed the man critically. "You seem nervous, are you -- ohhh," he looked down at the blood specked floor and his voice fell. "What's that doing there?"

"I don't know. I've only just got here." Sam sighed. This time he pulled out his gun. He was on the job, it looked like. Always on the job.

It seemed to get thicker as it went on, ending behind a door. And wouldn't it be luck that it was locked, he thought - trying to open it. "It's locked." Too bad Dean wasn't here. He liked to kick down doors like he a movie hero. Always carried paper clips, too.

"Stand back." He instructed the other man, preparing to knock down the door.
