James cleared his throat and shifted a little on the couch. "I'm acting like a big baby, crying over my mum." He laughed a little and wiped at his eyes.
"It's just.....strange, knowing that I won't wake up to her making me breakfast tomorrow morning. Won't have a sit down with Dad before he goes off to work." He sighed.
"My gran has this clock. It doesn't tell the time, it tells where everybody is. Like, there's a hand for each member of the family and there are different areas. Work, home, that kind of thing. There's even a "danger" area so whenever you're in trouble, the family knows no matter what." He sighed.
"No idea what the clock is saying about me right now."
James shook his head. "Whole family wouldn't stop searching until they found me. Although....I think mum'll be the most worried. She's convinced I can't function without her." He blushed a bit and looked down.
James sighed. This was great. The first girl he'd shown any kind of interest in and she was going to have to teach him how to live without his mommy.
"I know how to cook....some stuff. And I can pretty much take care of myself. I just.....she makes me lunch and she does my laundry and she bakes these amazing cookies...." He sighed again.
"I'm never going to have one of those cookies again, am I?"
James shook his head. "They're mum's super secret recipe. Nobody knows it. Not even some....magical force or whatever it is that brought us here." He sighed, then shook his head again.

"In a way you're kind of lucky. Not having anybody to miss." He sighed. "Part of me wishes they were here but part of me doesn't."

"Just thought of something......wonder what's going on with the clock." He made a face.
