She nodded. 'I know,' she said, her voice soft. She stepped back, reluctantly. want some tea or something before bed?' she asked

James shook his head.

"No thank you. But...do we have to go to bed right away? Maybe we could talk for a bit?" He smiled softly.

'Okay,' she said, with a nod and excused herself long enough to get some water before she returned and curled up on the sofa.

James walked over and joined Cia on the couch, though he sat a little bit away from her.

"So. What do you want to talk about?" He smiled a little and scratched the back of his neck.

She shrugged. She had lots of things she wanted to know about him, but was hesitant to ask. 'Umm.... i donno. What do you like to do?'

James smiled. "I like....jokes. Run a joke shop, actually. Well, I did anyway." He shrugged a bit.

"And I like hanging out with my grandfather. He loves all things muggle and we like to go through the stuff that he has. It's a lot of fun."

She nodded. 'If you like muggle stuff there's tons around. I've got some, and the castle has a bunch.' She stretched and pulled her tank top strap back up. 'Where'd you grow up?'

"In London." He smiled. "Although I spent a lot of time at my grandparents house. It's called the Burrow. Great house. Lots of rooms. But then there had to be lots of rooms." He chuckled.

"My mum was the youngest of seven. Only girl too." He smiled. "So the house was huge and we used to play hide and seek a lot."

For some reason, 'the Burrow" sounded familiar, but she just couldn't place why. She pushed it out of her mind. 'That's a lotta relatives...' she said.

James nodded. "Yeah, I have a lot of relatives." He chuckled.

"My Uncle Charlie is the only one that didn't get married. Well....him and my Uncle Fred. But....Fred died before I was born so..." He scratched the back of his neck.

All of this sounded somehow familiar. 'How'd he die?' she asked

James looked down at his hands in his lap, picking at his nails.

"He was killed by a death eater in the final battle against Voldemort." He scratched the back of his neck. His grandmother still broke out into tears whenever they talked about it.

'Ohhh' she said softly. 'I'm sorry' She squeezed his arm gently

He shrugged. "It's alright. I mean....he died fighting for a good cause. And I feel like I know him through my Uncle George. They're identical twins." He smiled a little.

She nodded. Even twins were different though. She didn't say that, however. 'At least... voldemort iis gone... right?'

He nodded. "Yeah, he's been gone a long time. Well....at least in my time." He scratched the back of his neck again.

"But see....the way I know things is that Remus died in that battle too. And Sirius died a couple of years before that." He sighed. "It's so confusing.
