Remus was busy making food. or trying too. For him food was not easy, because it was not something you learned by books that easily. So he was stirring the tomato sauce fast, trying to avoid it burning. "Damn." he hissed as he saw some burned pieces. He looked up as his name was called, and the tired looking man looked up. "I'm in the kitchen, trying to make some food." he sighed. The pasta at least was okay. Somewhat. Maybe a bit overcooked, but it was edible at least.

"... Very much on the *trying* part."

Sirius laughed quietly. 'Why not magic it?' They couldn't create food from nothing, but they could cook by magic. 'Rather wish we had a house elf,' he admitted. I can cook by magic, but not nearly as well as a house elf can.'

'Oh! Speaking of magic... I found everything to make your potion. Including Moste Potente Potions... apparently, it's been updated. Erm... were you aware that there are lions and dinosaurs in that Dawn of Time place?' he asked.

"Because." Remus said, smiling. "One shall not use magic for everything. Besides, I was bored. Turns out I am a horrid cook." he laughed, turning to face Sirius when he said it. He nearly dropped the pan. "What?" his eyes went wide. "You found the ingredients?" he said breathlessly. "I-- Oh god thank you Sirius." he put the pan down and rushed over, hugging his friend and lover close.

Sirius smiled and said, 'We're wizards. Why NOT use magic--when there are no muggles around that is. I'm rather rubbish at making tea properly without it,' he admitted. 'I have met someone in the castle, and made tea as we spoke, and it tasted like some American had made it.' Not that there was anything wrong with Americans, he'd met some lovely ones. But they couldn't prepare tea.

He hugged Remus. 'It won't be ready for this moon. But it should be ready about two weeks before the next.'

"Because." he kissed Sirius. "I like to try things sometimes without the aid of magic. Sometimes one might have to do without a wand, and knowing things from before then is good." he grinned, chuckling about the tale of the tea.

"Any moon being myself is better then none, Sirius. I trust you to keep me in check, you shaggy dog." he laughed.

Sirius kissed Remus back. 'Well, let's hope you master it, because I'm rubbish at Muggle cooking.'

He nodded and said, 'I'll start on the potion as soon as I can. I want to read the recipe and instructions to make sure I don't make a mistake. Being that it's in Moste Potente Potions, I know that it will not be an easy task. I never thought I'd say this, but it's too bad that Snivellus isn't here...

'Oh, what of that young witch you're teaching? You're not trying to teach her any sort of potions are you? Being that it wasn't your strongest subject.'

"No no, I am terrible at potions. I mean, I can do it okay'ish, but not good enough that I would teach anyone else to do it. Defensive magic though is something I do," he kissed his cheek, returning to his food, stirring it.

Sirius smirked. 'I know you are love,' he teased, kissing Remus. 'When you think she's ready, I can help her with potions. I'm no Snivellus, but I daresay I can handle teaching her up through at least the start of NEWT levels.'

"That sounds great! I think she has great potential." He smiled. "I hope when we get out of her we can get her to Hogwarts."

Sirius nodded. 'Do they take older students?' he asked. He'd never seen a student go in after their year started

"Usually not. but I am sure I can talk Dumbledore into taking her in if it gets explained." he smiled. "She is a good kid."

Sirius looked away. 'My love...' he said softly. 'In... our world... Dumbledore died. Minerva McGonagall is headmistress now.'

"I... oh... I.. my head. I forgot. I am sorry." he went silent. "I forgot..."

Sirius pulled him in for a hug. 'Nonetheless, I'm sure McGonagall will let the girl in, or arrange a suitable alternative.' It didn't seem that it was the girl's fault she hadn't gone, and there was no point in punishing a young witch for something not of her doing.
