Finn had been out on a run to clear his head when tell-tale sound of whirring helicopter blades filtered into his ears. No matter how many times he'd heard it, Finn would never quite get used to the steady stream of newcomers who'd been suckered by some sort of tale just like he'd been. Normally, he wouldn't have bothered to check on who it was, but curiosity had gotten the better of him and since he was about done anyway, he figured why not.

Making his way toward the castle at a steady clip, it still took him a good ten minutes before he'd managed to reach it. Once inside, he looked around and had he not been straining his ears to hear, he might've missed the soft voice beckoning for someone, anyone, to come out.

"Hello?" He called out, louder than necessary, seemingly causing his voice to echo across the walls.

Lainey whirled around, her eyes searching for the source of the greeting. She moved slowly and quietly back toward where she'd come from, stopping when she saw Finn. While she didn't know his age, she guessed he was no more than 18 or 19 tops.

'Who are you?' she asked, drawing herself up to her full five feet ten inches. Shoulders back, chin up, and eyes narrowed, she looked every bit a cop. 'And where the hell am I?' She had more questions, but it was best to ask one or two at a time.

Finn gave her a quick once over. She didn't look so scary. A bit serious given the way she carried herself, but Finn wasn't worried about any sort of psychotic tendencies, so that was a plus.

"I'm Finn. Finn Hudson." He greeted, cheerfully, a smile spreading across his face.

"As for where you are, I'm not exactly sure where this is, but we're in a castle. It's kind of like that song Hotel California. Do you know it?"

'I'd gotten as far as it being a castle. I was working on the rest of it. And yes, I know the song. That's not a comforting analogy,' she said.

'Why are we here? Who ordered it? I'm assuming you're not a cop--too young... which means that it's highly unlikely this is the conference I was supposed to attend.' Her eyes kept shifting to keep an eye on the surroundings as she spoke.
