The transport provided was like nothing Teeg had seen, and appeared rather primitive, though she doubted the residents of the planet were capable of acquiring the parts for anything more modern. There was what she suspected was a communication device on the seat beside her, and Teeg wondered just how much the organization that had sent her the message intended to jerk her around before providing the information they'd promised.
She picked up the device before stepping out of the transport, scanning the immediate area for anyone, frowning as the transport left with a blast of air that tugged at her hair and uniform jacket. There was no one, and her frown deepened a moment before she smoothed her expression, continuing her scan of the area.
Structures were visible in the distance, one of which appeared to be a fortress of some sort, likely the center of whatever compound or settlement was here. Teeg slowly started moving toward the structure, watching for any movement, one hand resting on the pulse pistol at her thigh.
