Some of the book shelves had indeed tipped over. By her feet on the floor lay something that looked like a.. wand? And a groan came from under one of the book shelves. "I am here..." the voice was tired, and in pain. On further inspection he was not under it, but beside it. His right leg was broken, and he held his side. It seemed like the shelf had hit him smack on. He glanced up at the woman, blinking a bit. She was pretty. Very pretty. He smiled weakly to her.
Donna picked the wand up and set it aside with some books as she made her way over to where Remus was laid. "Hello yourself. Looks like you've been in the wars there, sunshine."
She studied the book shelf for a few moments, working out the best course of action, after all, she didn't want to cause extra damage. She knelt down and cleared away the books from around him. "Where does it hurt most?"
"Where don't it hurt." he chuckled, but regretted it right after. "My leg is the one worst off I think. It is broken, and I lost my wand..." he swallowed. "And I believe my ribs might be sprained." The shabby man was very skinny and tired looking, but with a good mean and antidepressant he could have been very very attractive.
"Your wand is safe, don't you worry about that now." She idly wondered if it was a real wand. After all, he didn't look like the wizards in books, but then again, she was fast learning most things didn't look like the stories would have you believe.
She pushed the bookcase aside with a groan. Blimey, it was heavy, no wonder it caused such damage. "Do you think you could hop your way to the Time Room if you hold onto me?"
"Thank Goodness..." he muttered, groaning as she moved the book case. "Yes, I do believe so, But it have to be slow. If you give me my wand I will try to make myself a splinter..." he looked tired.
Donna gave a nod and moved to pick the wand up again, holding it gingerly in her fingers - she didn't want it to explode on her or anything.
"Don't suppose you know any teleport spells?" She asked as she held it out to him. It'd save the painful job of walking to the Time Room, that was for sure.
"I can apperate." he groaned. "Will be hard on a broken leg, and I do not know where I would be going. Do not want to risk Splicing you." he sighed, taking the wand. "Episkey!" he said, pointing at his ribs and bracing himself. A crack was heard and he gasped, curling a bit. "Okay, my ribs are now sort off healed.." he croaked. "However legs is more difficult business..."
Oh, now that was weird... Not the weirdest thing she'd ever seen, mind. But weird enough. "Right then, let's get you to that hospital then, see if they can't patch you up..."
"That would be nice." he said pained as she helped him up. he shut his eyes, his clothing a bit mismatched, with different socks and tan pants together with a white, formal shirt. He tried not to lean to much on her out of courtesy, but it did not help much. He waved his wand muttering something, and two splints of wood formed and locked around his leg, drawing a loud gasp from him.
"Oh give over, I'm not made of glass, y'know? Come on, lean on me, take somee of the weight off of you." She gave his back a rub when he gasped in a sad, sorry attempt to calm him - didn't help much though.
He laughed a bit, leaning more on her. "I am sorry. I have grown up in a home where chivalry was quite strong. Not easy being a gentleman while leaning so hopelessly on you."
"You can be a right proper gent to me later then, if it makes you feel better. Right now we have to get you to the Time Room and then on to the hospital."
Donna gave a chuckle and supported his weight as they walked/hobbled/limped/etc.
"Okay okay, I get your point." he smiled, leaning a bit more on her, flinching as they slowly made their way down the hallway, his breath catching a few times.
It was slow going. Really slow going. But Donna didn't want to risk rushing him and doing more harm than good. SHe'd never forgive herself. But little by little they got ever closer to the Time Room.
Remus was sweating by the time they reached the time room, the pain having made his face ashen white. And yet still he tried to be polite by pushing the door open for her.
Still such a gentleman! It was kind of sweet, but also rather frustrating that he was causing himself more pain in order to be polite to her. Still, slapping him probably wouldn't help matters. She might even break him.
"I told you, quit with the gentleman act until we get you fixed up. Not very gentlemanly to collapse from pushing yourself too hard, is it?"
"Hello there..."
