Old friends meet

Relative Date: A few days after the party, after Alexei killed Basil and Martha, Eddie and Jack came to deal with the mess and after Martha and Eddie watched Basil's body disappear

Jack had finally, with great relief, managed to hand Alexei over to Willow and escaped to call Martha. He wouldn't normally have had a problem taking responsibility for looking after the boy, but this was the second time in two days that Eddie and his questionable methods had posed a problem and to Jack's mind, that needed dealing with urgently. As did making sure Martha was coping all right dealing with her friend's death.
Fortunately, he could combine both with a visit to Martha. He gave her a quick call as he departed from Alexei's room, discovered she was in her room and headed along to join her, talking on his phone to Spike and the Doctor on his way.
Arrived at Martha's room, he rapped lightly on the door with his knuckles and called softly, "Martha, it's Jack."
