Not human, certainly. To be frank, he was starting to wonder if there was anyone left here who was purely human!
He glanced round at the helicopter and the pile of scrap. “Some of it,” he replied modestly, without elaborating on the fact that his ‘some’ was a very tiny proportion of the whole. “A pleasure to meet you, Ivy. What brings you all the way out here in such atrocious weather?” He waved a hand towards the slush and snow outside.

“Oh, I think I could help with that,” he said smoothly, wrapping an arm around her slim waist as she stepped in close to him, and lifting a curious eyebrow. “You think they made us inhale something on our way here ( ... )

He smiled wryly. "Well, yes, I'm sure the other captives here would prefer you to poke about inside the helicopter than inside them," he murmured, thinking that he could however name a few individuals he certainly wouldn't mind her poking about inside.

She smiled when he commented about her poking inside of people. "And the helicopter will certainly put up less of a fuss." She joked lightly. "At least I hope so."
She looked at the mess of the craft and nodded. "Yes, it is possible they could have been destroyed, but it certainly can't hurt to look." She stepped out of the wind and found a comfortable place to lean against. "I really do appreciate you helping me like this."

She looked gorgeous as she moved to lean against the wall and it took him a moment to tear his attention away and back to the helicopter. "Right, let's see what there is to be seen, then!" he declared cheerfully, climbing up into the cockpit and examining the mangled dashboard in more detail than he had before - first with his eyes and fingers and then with his laser screwdriver, for more intensive and accurate readings. Soon he was completely absorbed in his task, poking and prodding, and unaware of the fingers of his left hand regularly tapping out a distinctive four-beat rhythm as he worked.
